Having just started Spring semester, SMC students may be planning to celebrate Black History month, Valentine’s Day, or maybe take a weekend road trip for Presidents’ weekend.

But February is also the time to start tinkering with resume’s and strategizing about summer internships.  Many employers offer unpaid internships, but getting paid is a priority for students on a budget.

To get the ball rolling, check out SMC’s upcoming presentation on paid internships.  Advisors and participants will explore over 200 paid intern positions available in Film, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Music, Literary Arts, and Municipal Projects.

The event is happening from 11:15am – 12:30pm. Thursday, February 21st, at the Studio Stage (Theater Arts Building) on the main SMC campus.  For information, contact SMC’s Career Services Center, at (310) 434-4337.
